Google's fantastic email service
Remember The Milk is an imaginatively-named online to-do list service.
So what has Remember The Milk got that a desktop to-do application doesn't? Well, for a start, it is one of the most completely integrated web apps we have ever seen. Whether you want to be notified by Twitter, reminded on your mobile device or add new tasks while browsing the internet, Remember The Milk has the service to do it.
Remember The Milk also has a host of features that make adding, monitoring and carrying out tasks easier than ever. Add your tasks, tag them, add notes, choose notifications, mark map location and create Smart Lists (lists of specific groups of tasks). Remember The Milk has excellent search and display options, so keeping track of your to-dos is pleasantly easy.
The Remember The Milk sign-up process is very easy, and you should be up and running within under 5 minutes. The basic service is free, although the premium Remember The Milk account, the Pro, gives you more options, including the ability to sync your tasks with your mobile phone and priority support, among others.
Although there is a getting started guide, we found the service took a good 30 minutes to understand and use properly. There's good help, forums and FAQs, and Remember The Milk is available in a good variety of languages, but it is still more complex than it first looks and deserves a careful test drive.
Remember The Milk is an excellent to-do service and well worth the initial learning curve.
